VP-AV installed a complex audio visual system into the South Wales Central Coroner Area Courtrooms. The integrated solution was developed in collaboration with the client once a detailed assessment of their specification requirements, work flows and acoustics of the environment was developed, including further provision of similar technology to a Training Room.
Key elements and features of the system include;
- Court Recording system – allowing instant playback and recordings that can be downloaded in a few simple steps, removing the delay of up to one hour per download
- Wireless Presentation – allows the whole courtroom to view still & video images on four large HD screens positioned throughout the courtroom
- Video Conferencing – a technology has revolutionised the way that witnesses can present their evidence and has prevented the need to adjourn Inquests because a witness is unable to physically attend a hearing. We have successfully brought in via video link witnesses from London, North Wales and Europe
- Acoustic Treatment – Wall and ceiling hung acoustic panels have improved the working environment, speech intelligibility and overall performance of the audio within the room, in addition to adding an attractive architectural feature

Coroner’s Service Manager
“The customer and engineering services provided by VP-AV have been exemplary. The ability to remote in to the systems for diagnosis often negates the necessity to attend site resulting in issues being resolved within an hour of a service call being logged. Staff are professional and friendly, always willing to go above and beyond to meet customer requirements.”
